Last week we began a new series entitled, “Motive-8″. On we one there was a problem with the recording equipment so we don’t have the intro session. Each week we are asking the question, “Why do you do what you do?”. We are all motivated by something. We do things for a reason. There is always a motive behind what we do, wheather good or bad. This week we looked at the motive of FEAR from the perspective of Luke 19 and Genesis 20.

Worship isn’t always what we think it is. It’s not always in a song on Sunday. It’s more than that, it’s a lifestyle. This is the final message in the FUEL series. If you want to have a relationship with God that is on FIRE… than you’ll have to FUEL it with a few things…
- What you read
- Your relationships
- Getting out of your comfort zone
- Prayer & fasting
- Worship
What is worship? In this final message we looked at four things that worship is through the account of Daniel and the lions den found in Daniel chapter six.
- Worship is LIFESTYLE
- Worship can get LONELY
- Worship is not just an experience, but is an ENCOUNTER with God
- Worship is a RESPONSE to a revelation
The bottom line on worship is that when God reveals something to you, whatever your worship is, it all boils down to one meaning… “I AM YOURS!”

This week was the fourth message in our FUEL series. Aaron Caulder spoke to us on the subject of prayer and fasting. Not too many of us have a pattern of prayer in our lives. A prayer before dinner, a prayer before bed are about it. We MUST take time to get with God. It doesn’t have to be a planned out thing as Aaron shared with us. What about fasting? How many of us have ever participated in a fast? Fasting disciplines us to focus on God. You need not to fast from food alone. It may be from TV, music, coffee, sleep, video games, certain foods, etc.
Prayer and fasting will take our relationship with God to another level. It will FUEL our relationship with Him unlike anything else. Next week we end the FUEL series with the last element that FUELS our relationship with Him… worship.

Wednesday night was the third message in the FUEL series. We talked about being uncomfortable. When we get out of our comfort zone it FUELS our relationship with God. When we do the things God calls us to do, it will require us to abandon our self, and live for others. When we care more about our comfort than doing what God calls us to do… we’re selfish! When we’re selfish, we don’t get care about what God’s trying to do… reach people.
The bottom line is that God has people to reach, who else is he going to use to do that but us? Are you willing to get uncomfortable, or will you tell God to get someone else. When we get out of our comfort zone, it FUELS our relationship with God!!

What fuels you in your relationship with God? The second thing the fuels or relationship with God is the relationships that we surround ourselves with. there are three levels of relationships that we need to have at all times… those above me, those below me, and my equals.
Equals: We need people around us who will be honest with us, who will encourage us, and who will be loyal to us. These principles are derrived from Proverbs 27:6-10. The other two kinds of relationships we don’t think about much… those who pour their life into us, and those whom we can pour our life into. If your not learning from someone above you, how can you be used by God to lead those below you?
Three relationships we must have in order to FUEL our relationship with God
- Those whom we pour our life into
- Those who are our equals
- Those who pour their life into us
The Apostle Paul summed up these kinds of relationships in his advice to young Timothy. 2 Timothy 2:2 says that we should pour into others what has been poured into us! It’s our responsibility!!

We all desire to get in on God’s plan, but… our flesh gets in the way. We’re not just going to follow after God ourselves, we need to be FUELED. What you FUEL yourself with determines what you do. Are you fueling yourself with the things of the Spirit or the things of the flesh?
Over the next four weeks we are going to be hitting five areas of our life that FUEL our relationship with God: what you READ, your WORSHIP, your level of COMFORT, your RELATIONSHIPS, and PRAYER. Tonight we looked at the first one: What you READ…

The Venti Life here on earth is one thing, but what about when its all said and done. Tonight we looked at The Venti Life in another demension… The Ultimate Venti Life: HEAVEN!! How do you get there? You get there by doing the same thing Joseph did, the same thing Job did, and the same think that the man did who built his house on the rock (Matthew 7:24) . So what was it??? Listen to find out…

In Matthew chapter 7 Jesus talked about two houses, the guy who built his house on the Rock, the Guy who built his house on the sand. Though its a parable, they both were probably nice houses, both probably living the Venti Life!! The only difference is that the one who built on the sand, THOUGHT he was living the Venti Life… It didn’t last. When the rains came, everything he had was washed away!
These two men had one thing in common - They both HEARD the words of Jesus! Jesus said that it’s not enought just to hear my words (and say, “Great message!”), but not apply them. It is He who listens and obeys the words of Jesus that lives the Venti Life. Again, as we have seen for three weeks - The Venti Life is all about being obedient to God. Joseph, Job, and now the words of Jesus Here in Matthew 7 reveals to us that yielding to God in obedience is the key!

Job was a rich man already living an abundant life. Yet at the end of his life God doubled what he already had. It was the time between that we learn about how Job lived the abundant life. He wrestled, argued, and fought with God. What’s funny is the responses God gave Job. At the end of it all Job said your God and I’m not. He yielded himself to God… in essence he did what everyone else does that live ths abundant life, He simply yielded in obedience to God.

Why don’t we hear of anyone walking around and saying, “I love life!”? If we did, our response would be “freak-o, get away from me”. What is the Venti Life all about? It’s about the abundant life, which is about having more than enough! It’s not about the “blingage”, it’s more than that. It’s being totally satisfied with life, knowing that it counts for God!!! How do we get it???????
Everyone who lives The Venti Life has this one thing in common… If you do it too, then YOU TOO can experience the abundant life Jesus was talking about in John 10:10!
